John Edgar, a musician and disability
support worker, is the founder of Ambient Orchestras. He has worked
in disability residential services, community organisations and Adult Training Support Services (ATSS) environments in Melbourne
and Galway, Ireland, for the last fourteen years. He has a Graduate
Diploma in Disability Studies and has directed multi-cultural choirs in Melbourne's north. John has recorded and toured extensively
with a variety of acts, including Sara Storer, Shane Howard, The Ploughboys,
Dalriada, Paul Hicks, Peter Denahy, Davidson Brothers and Mrs Wainwright.

Alexi has facilitated workshops and music programs for schools, businesses, local government and community groups around Australia and Asia – from Melbourne to Mudgee to Gwangju in South Korea. In 2001 Alexi co-founded a music program with members of Melbourne’s Sudanese community. This initiative fostered the teaching, performing and recording of original and traditional music. Alexi co-founded the Environmental Jobs Network (EJN) in 2001 and in 2004 he hosted a weekly TV show on environmental careers, which aired for 8 weeks on Channel 31 in Melbourne. He plays guitar, piano, vocals and percussion.
